Scope of Practice Statement
Professional Certificate in Ecotherapy-Informed Practice
This Scope of Practice Statement outlines the intended application and professional boundaries of graduates of the Professional Certificate in Ecotherapy-Informed Practice (“the Program”).
The Program is designed to provide education in nature-based wellbeing approaches and ecotherapy-informed principles. It supports professional development for individuals seeking to integrate nature into coaching, education, community programs, wellbeing services, and related fields.

Â

Â
Relationship to Regulated Professions
Ecotherapy is an emerging and interdisciplinary field. In many jurisdictions it is not regulated as a standalone profession.
Where activities intersect with regulated health services, graduates must hold the appropriate credentials and licenses required in their location.
Completion of this Program alone does not authorize the provision of regulated healthcare services.
Â
Commitment to Ethical Practice
Graduates are encouraged to approach ecotherapy-informed work with humility, cultural respect, and a commitment to participant safety.
Nature-based practice carries both opportunity and responsibility. Practitioners should continually evaluate their competence and pursue ongoing professional development.
Â
A Note on Professional Identity
This certificate recognizes advanced professional learning. It is intended to complement — not replace — existing qualifications.
Graduates may describe themselves as having completed professional training in ecotherapy-informed practice, provided this is represented accurately and without implying clinical licensure.
Â
By participating in this Program, students acknowledge and agree to practice within the scope outlined above.
