About Us

Bridging Psychology and Ecology Through Professional Practice

EcoPsychology.Co was founded by Dr. Lydia C. Saiz to bring evidence-informed, nature-based approaches into professional mental health and wellbeing practice.

Through her work across research, education, and applied wellbeing practice, Dr. Saiz observed that many professionals are often constrained by indoor settings, which can limit opportunities for deeper reflection, regulation, and meaningful connection—key elements in supporting human wellbeing.

EcoPsychology.Co is an international online professional training provider designed to bridge the gap between the growing scientific understanding of the human-nature relationship and the everyday practice of professionals supporting others.

We operate at the intersection of psychology, ecology, and ethical facilitation, translating research into structured training, practical tools, and responsible application.

Our work is informed by a multidisciplinary network of ecopsychologists, researchers, educators, coaches, and practitioners across mental health, community practice, and environmental work.

Our mission is to support professionals and career changers in integrating nature into mental health and wellbeing work with competence, integrity, and clarity.

Why EcoPsychology?

Human wellbeing does not exist in isolation from the natural world.

Environmental psychology research has consistently demonstrated links between nature exposure and stress regulation, cognitive restoration, emotional resilience, and overall wellbeing. Yet despite growing evidence, many professionals lack structured training in how to apply these insights safely and ethically.

EcoPsychology.Co was developed to close that gap.

We move beyond inspiration and into professional development — equipping practitioners with frameworks, tools, and risk-aware practice models grounded in research.
