Professional Certificate in Ecotherapy-Informed Practice

  1. Agreement to Terms

By enrolling in the Professional Certificate in Ecotherapy-Informed Practice (“the Program”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

These terms form a legally binding agreement between you (“Participant”) and the Company Building Capabilities Pty Ltd trading as EcoPsychology.Co with ABN: 58 673 568 146, registered in Australia (“Provider”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

If you do not agree to these terms, you should not enroll in the Program.

 

  1. Educational Purpose

The Program is a professional education and development course designed to support learning in nature-based wellbeing approaches.

Completion of the Program:

  • Does not constitute licensure
  • Does not provide clinical credentials
  • Does not authorize participants to practize as regulated health professionals
  • Does not create a therapist-client relationship

Participants are solely responsible for operating within their professional scope of practice and complying with all applicable laws and professional standards.

 

  1. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Individual results depend on many factors beyond our control.

We make no representations or guarantees regarding:

  • employment outcomes
  • professional advancement
  • client acquisition
  • financial results
  • business success
  • therapeutic effectiveness

Participation in the Program does not guarantee any particular outcome.

 

  1. Participant Responsibility

By enrolling, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for how you apply the information provided.
  • You will seek appropriate supervision, accreditation, or licensing where required.
  • You will not represent this certificate as a regulated qualification.

You agree to use professional judgment when integrating course concepts into your work.

 

  1. Health and Wellbeing Disclaimer

The Program is educational in nature.

It is not:

  • therapy
  • mental health treatment
  • medical advice
  • clinical supervision

If you require mental health or medical support, you should seek care from a qualified professional.

If you experience distress while engaging with course material, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate support.

 

  1. Assumption of Risk

Some course activities may encourage engagement with natural environments.

You acknowledge that outdoor activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • weather conditions
  • uneven terrain
  • wildlife
  • physical exertion

You agree that participation in any suggested activity is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk.

We are not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages arising from activities conducted outside the online learning environment.

 

  1. Intellectual Property

All course materials are the intellectual property of EcoPsychology.Co and are protected by copyright laws.

You may not:

  • reproduce
  • distribute
  • modify
  • resell
  • teach from
  • create derivative works

without prior written permission.

Access is granted for personal professional development only.

Sharing login details is strictly prohibited.

 

  1. Certificate Issuance

Certificates are issued only after successful completion of all required components.

The certificate:

  • recognises participation and learning
  • does not represent a government-accredited qualification
  • must not be misrepresented

We reserve the right to withhold certification if academic integrity is breached.

 

  1. Code of Conduct

Participants agree to engage respectfully in all course spaces.

We reserve the right to remove participants without refund if behavior is:

  • abusive
  • discriminatory
  • disruptive
  • unethical
  • in breach of professional standards

This protects the learning environment for all participants.

 

  1. Fees and Refund Policy

All fees are listed in USD.

Due to the digital nature of the Program:

All sales are final unless required by Australian Consumer Law.

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • change of mind
  • lack of time
  • failure to complete
  • perceived business outcomes

If a payment plan is selected, you are responsible for completing all instalments.

Failure to pay may result in suspended access.

 

  1. Access Period

Unless otherwise stated, participants receive access for 12 months from enrolment.

We reserve the right to update content to maintain quality.

 

  1. Technology Disclaimer

We are not responsible for:

  • internet failures
  • device incompatibility
  • platform outages
  • user technical difficulties

Participants are responsible for ensuring adequate technology access.

 

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

EcoPsychology.Co shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Program.

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the Program.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

 

  1. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EcoPsychology.Co from claims arising from:

  • misuse of course material
  • professional application of course concepts
  • services you provide to third parties

 

  1. Privacy

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

 

  1. Modifications

We may update these Terms periodically.

Continued participation constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

 

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

  • Participant Safety & Risk Management Statement

These documents form part of these Terms and Conditions and are incorporated by reference. We encourage all participants to review them carefully prior to enrolment.
